"The function of a vessel need not be specific. Work created to be held, touched, and seen is valid to the degree that a person responds to its form. Its presence is the vessel's reason for being." - Bill Daley

some more stuff i'm working on.
Thursday, February 17, 2011
just some stuff i have been working on. i want my forms to mean more than just being cylinders. i am also working on making sense of the individual vessel.
they hold memories of how i felt in their essence; the sunlight, the water, the land, the wind. i want to capture that essence. that emotion that i felt. i want to save it and hold it. that's what i want.
these photos that i have been posting are my own. i want to share them because i believe things i see influence me. things i do, influence me. i like to remember places i have been, and things that i have seen. it's the memories that i like.
i also like texture. i think it helps me express my emotions.
keep a dream book by your bedside... why i already do! i always wanted to talk with someone who is an expert on dream analysis. i have a lot of reoccurring dreams, and i have a lot of bad dreams. some are scary and nightmare like, while others just leave me feeling bad about my actions. others just leave me feeling lost and confused. like, what was i looking for? and who is that man? but i guess that's the point of dreams-- they're not supposed to make sense. if they did, we wouldn't need dream analysis.
